Purchase Lessons/Classes
Purchases can be made online or in person at our office. Click Here to view our class schedule. Classes are offered a preset dates and times. Private lessons are scheduled flexibly; you pick how often, which days, and times you want based on availability. Private lessons are offered during our facility hours.
What to Bring
You will need a swimming suit, towel, and a change of clothes for after your lesson. For all children under the age of 4, you will need a re-usable cloth swim diaper. This is a requirement even if your child is already potty trained. You may also purchase goggles, caps, and swim diapers in our office.
What to Expect
Come and check in at our office on your first day. After that, you’ll know your routine! If your child is not yet dressed for class, take them into the changing area in the restroom. Every swimmer must rinse off in the shower before entering the pool. Swimmers are allowed to enter the pool 15 minutes prior to their class. Once the swimmer is in the pool, you can mark a dot next to their name on the white board in front of the pool. Then take a seat on one of the chairs around the pool to watch your swimmer. Your instructor will call out the student’s name when they are ready. At the start of the class, the instructor will ask you and your swimmer a few questions. Don’t be discouraged if there is a bit of crying – it’s a new experience and most children aren’t sure of what to expect. Over time they will trust their teacher and know that they come back to you at the end of their lesson. Swimmers are encouraged to play and practice 15 minute after their class.
Policies
Registration Fee: Each swimmer enrolling for the first time or re-enrolling after a 2 month period of non-enrollment will be charged a registration fee of $25. (non-refundable).
Refunds: Lucky Duck does not offer refunds.
Class/Lesson Expiration Date: All of our packages have expiration dates: single lesson/class packages expire 30 days after purchase; packages of four lessons/classes expire 60 days after purchase; packages of 8 lessons/classes expire 90 days after purchase.
Reschedules: If changes must be made, we need a 48 hour advance notice to reschedule the lesson. There is only one (1) reschedule allowed per package.
Cancellations: Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the appointment WILL ONLY be made-up if another swimmer takes your scheduled lesson time. You will have two weeks to make-up the cancelled lesson. Make-ups are not guaranteed and done on a space available basis. If another swimmer doesn’t take your scheduled lesson time, you forfeit the cost of the lesson. There is only one (1) make-up allowed per package.
Late: If you arrive late to your lesson, you will only receive what is left in your lesson.
Pool Closures: Lessons will be held rain or shine, and cancelled at LDSS discretion. There are no refunds for missed lessons. Lessons/classes cancelled by Lucky Duck for shut-downs caused by chemical imbalances or teacher absences will be rescheduled.
Absent Instructor: We do not notify our customers when their teacher is out sick, however we do provide a substitute. We believe the consistency of the lessons is most important to a child’s success, and we want our kids to be water safe with everyone not just their favorite instructor.
